CPU core utilization

Hello,
can Daslight use more than one CPU Core? So if I have 4 cores, that Daslight benefit from this. Intel CPU's have virual CPU cores. So if you have 4 cores, the CPU can simulate 4 more. Is it possible that Daslight can use this virtual cores und benefit from this?
Or is a single core with higher frequency better? What is your experience?
