Ive been Daslight Virtual Controller 2 for a while now for mobile and bar i DJ in, now have bought a DVC4 Gold and of course using Daslight 4. (Damn i know the DVC2 software is old but its what got me into DMXing!)
Im adjusting to the software nicely, but a have a couple of things that aren't quite the same as DVC2 software as far as i can tell:
- When creating effects in DVC2, when using pan/tilt effects and the automatic curve - it was quite good. When using the automatic curve in DVC4, the 'automatic' curve is just doesn't work as well. See screenshots! Also i know that you can move the 'curve' around in the box but can't stretch it like in DVC2 (In/Out/Diagonally).

I have been able to get variations of the curve by reselecting curve, but not finding the curves that great. (Ps the curves work well with the ceiling mounted intimidators we have).
- Add a pixel/matrix effect:
Great feature but i don't have any RGB pars etc, i would of thought that by using this effect and selecting the fixtures (moving heads) i would be able to create colour effects - but sadly not. Just affects the dimmers! This would be a really easy way to make colour effects!
-No fast scene generator like in DVC2!

Its great software, I'm just adjusting!
Have had quite a few crashes though - mainly when on the patch section, and some random ones (Mac OS).
