Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing a slight issue using the flash scenes in DVC4. Let me try to explain:
1) a RGB PAR Can is beeing used in live mode, LTP ist set on some the faders from e.g. midi controller use, thats fine.
2) I start a scene on the can, e.g. a rainbow effect. The scene overrides the LTP faders - fine.
3) I trigger a flash scene - e.g. strobe - on the can. The flash-scene overrides rainbow scene (2) - fine.
Now the issue:
After stopping the flash, DVC returns to the fader settings from (1). The scene from (2) is still active, but does not impact anything anymore.
I hope I could point out ehat the deal is. Is this a bug? Or by design? Any ideas how to solve it?
Hint:
In DVC3 - using the "effect"-functionality, DVC3 returned to the correct scene.
Regards,
padawan

Hey,
Could you please send me your showfile ? I would give you an answer, but I first want to make sure I understand what the issue is here.

Re: Return from Flash Scene
Hey,
Right, thanks for the showfile. The reason for this happening is that LTP values management don't save the order in which LTP values are set. What happens is :
Although, there is a bug : if none of the playing scenes use this channel, the LTP value should be used. I'll see what I can do about this.
Thanks for reporting and sorry you had to experience this.

Right, thanks for the showfile. The reason for this happening is that LTP values management don't save the order in which LTP values are set. What happens is :
- Start scene 1 : the scene doesn't use Dimmer channel, so value = 0
- Set dimmer value by hand : LTP value 1
- Start scene 2 : the scene uses Dimmer channel, LTP value 2
- Stop Scene 2 : LTP value set to last playing scene -> value = 0
Although, there is a bug : if none of the playing scenes use this channel, the LTP value should be used. I'll see what I can do about this.
