Hello,
the save time/storage time of a Daslight Project is around 10-20min.
Is there a way to do it quicker? For example an option to save the changed parameter only.

Greetings
Martin

Hey,

I'm afraid this hasn't been done yet. But we'll think of it for next version.

10-20 minutes ??? How big is your file ?

My files are 20 MB and need 2 minutes. This is sometimes also too long if the system crashes in live situations and has to be reloaded.

So - please optimize this if possible!

Regards,
Micha

Please please please fix this! Everytime i have to save, i must wait at least 1 hour! before the file is saved!
File is 280MB, and every month its getting bigger and bigger.
I'm now at a point to search for a other device for my lights. 1 hour is not acceptable to wait every day

Hey Mauricevdonk,

Is there any chance you could devide your file at all ? Is this huge file only for one show ? Or do you have all your shows ever in one file ?

Hi Tomhat,

It's one show. With 6 universes (DVC4 gold, 3 universes, and a artnet 3 universes)
I keep it simple as possible, not many programs, to reduce the storage time.

There about 50 movinglights, 520 rgb fixtures (in a matrix) and some other lights.

Hello,
a short update to the save time/storage time of a Daslight Version 22 Dez 2017.
A Project with 158 MB needs around 12 min.

This is better than 20 min. But it's not enough for quick changes at a gig.

Is there an improvement foreseeable in the near future?

Greetings Martin

Hey,

We have already worked on improving the save process speed. Now if we want to save files even faster, we would have to take away fixture data, which is not an option. So I'm afraid the software won't get to change much on this side.
