Daslight 4 Crashed

Hello,

My Daslight Software crashes, wenn i will patch my lights.
System: Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3 (newest)

It works only on my other Macbook, with an older Software, why?

Does the crash happen as soon as you try to patch ANY fixture? We’ve heard of some customers having a similar crash when trying to patch on Mac. The developers have investigated this problem and found that certain other Mac software may be conflicting with Daslight 4.

Do you have any of the following software installed on your Mac or anything similar?

Magnet
Flexiglass
Popclip
BetterSnapTool

If so they may conflict with Daslight 4 and will need to be uninstalled

oh my god my nightmare was fixed by uninstalling magnet. the only app I've bought from the App Store

Do you have an updated list of the software that causes this bug, or hints as to the type of software that causes this bug please?

Thanks, but I don't have any of the listed apps installed.

I don't have any window management apps installed either.

I do have exactly the same crash problem.

Could this be caused by splashtop streamer? Or the fact that I'm just testing the software on its own to see if we want to buy a dmx interface?

Hey,

The software should work correctly, even without any interface connected to the computer.
The crash is linked with the computer's accessibility feature. If you're using any software which you're aware might affect this feature in any way, please try deactivating it and test Daslight again.

Tried it on another, older imac. Managed to patch and start to learn the software. When I closed daslight the computer froze.
Was also running propresenter at the time.

Crash on exit sounds like a totally other thing. I don't think it's linked at all. Did this Freeze problem appear often ? Or only once ?

I did run into the same issue using macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 and Daslight 4 Dec 22 2017.
I have to kill Hyperdock and RescueTime to make Daslight work and I use the Activity Manager to force kill the applications.

Not had the time to play with Daslight any more since then, so I don't know as yet.


Played with it for a couple of hours yesterday with Safari and ProPresenter open at the same time.The computer didn't freeze, so maybe the previous freeze was unrelated

same problem here. When I try to patch a device the prog. crash. I have none of the progs above on my Mac.

The weird is, at the first time I used the software everything works fine. I could add my moving heads and LED spots.

Then I tried to add a generic device in "_GENERIC/single channel". Since this time the program crashes.

I tried to reproduce this on my PC, but on the PC it works.

I moved over to the computer we're actually going to use for the job and it works OK. I never needed to find out the actual problem on the newest of our computers that meant daslight wouldn't work, so sorry I can't tell you how I managed to sort out the problem.

When does the program crash exactly ? Does the crash happen everytime you select a fixture in a list ?
Could you try just selecting a step in a scene's steps list ? Does Daslight4 crash there too ?

Hey,
I got the same Issue. If I try to patch a fixture Daslight crash. The first generic fixture (CMY) ist the only I can Patch. All the above mentioned Programs I do not have installed on my Mac.
I Use a Mac with High Sierra (10.13.6)
Does anybody hav a solution for me.
Maybe there is a list around with even more Software crushing with Daslight.
