Hi,
Is there a way to use a virtual Dimmer for a RGB fixture. It would be quit handy so that i can have an additional dimmer for a RGB (3ch.) fixture without having to use an additional dmx channel or to have a software dimmer for a fixture which has no additional dimmer capability build in.
Yes I know i can dimm the scene, but thats not what i would use that virtual dimmer for.

Hey Tueftler2000,
You have a virtual dimmer in the general tab's pallets (Pan/Tilt, Colorwheel, Dimmer) that you can use for that purpose.
Just select the fixtures you want the dimmer on and it'll work just fine.
Hope this helps.
Regards,

Hi,
The General Dimmer operates on the selected beams.
So, just select the beams you want to control on your multibeam fixture.
Hope this helps.

Re: Virtual Dimmer
Hi,
Indeed, the General dimmer does operate on all beams of a fixture at once, but not on individual beams.
It's normal, as there is one dimmer channel only for all beams in the MagicBlade.
Each beam could be dimmed individually if there were 7 dimmer channels in the unit, 1 channel per beam... But there are not.
You can control each individual beam with the MagicBlade in mode 3 (44 channels) only.
In its own fixture tab (not General), the color (inner circle) and the intensity (outer ring) can be set to selected beams (with prior dimmer open and led turned on).
Hope that helps.
