Issue with Library editor

Hi,

I try to open an existing fixture in Library editor (JB Systems LED PAR 64b).
Without doing anything else, I try to save it under another name elsewhere, but the editor says that the library contains errors.
I see "Error shutter" and a bunch of other "Icon not found" message.
The save is not possible.
What happens ?

Hi again,

It seems that this issue occurs when the chosen installation folder is different than the default one.
I reinstalled it in "C:\Daslight 4 Beta" (default folder) instead of "C:\Program Files\Daslight 4 Beta".
Maybe the application uses absolute paths to the icons libraries or other needed files.

Hi,

It seems that there is still a problem with the icons although.
In the latest big group labeled "?" (Undef), all the preset icons are missing when used in the fixture parameters.

The same things done with the Library editor v3 work fine.
So, it appears to be a bug in the latest version of the editor.

That's the editor bundled with daslight 4. Which editor is buggy ?
Another thing, there is a section of the forum dedicated to the scan library editor, please use it

The editor bundled with Daslight v4 is buggy.
It loads fine those icons when they are already defined in the basic file.
The problem occurs when I try to add one of those icons from the "?" (undef) group.

As a workaround, the editor bundled with DVC3 works fine to fix the bugs in the fixture parameters brought by the buggy one.

We just updated the daslight 4 setup, it contains a bunch of fixes for scan library can you try with it ?

Nope.
It's not better.
Now there are no more icons under the "?" group.
