Exclude a channel from the automation : is it possible ?

Post by PolDavril »

Hi,

Here is the idea (tested on DVC3 because DVC4 dims channels even if it's flaged to "no dim" --> reported in another post).

A scene with some steps to change a PAR LED colour with fade times.
Channel 1,2,3 = RGB.
Channel 4 = master dimmer (0-189 = dimmer, 190-199 = sound chase, 200-247 = strobe, 248-255 = open).

A fade in/out time is set for the scene.

At start : channels 1,2,3 fade in gradually and channel 4 is directly set at the wanted value (no dimming). This is OK.

At stop: channels 1,2,3 fade out gradually but the channel 4 is immediately set to zero, so no fading effect is visible (because channel 4 set to "closed" before other channels dim) !
This is the problem.

In this example, channel 4 is set at the first step of the scene but should not be reset to zero when the scene fades out (or should be set to zero when all other channels are off, not before).

** EDIT **

An application to this is to dim the channels 1,2,3 (RGB) at scene stop while keeping the strobe parameter active (set to 200-247 depending on the strobe speed).
So the strobe goes on during the dimming time.
