BUG (1019-003) MIDI faders crash in some circumstances

Hi,

When MIDI faders are moved fast and repeatedly, Daslight 4 freezes and does not operate anymore.
I've got this issue with the master fader and also with faders assigned to fade the scenes.
I don't know if this issue comes from Daslight itself or from the USB port used for MIDI (USB 3.0).
Does anyone gets this issue ?

Hi,

The latest version (Dec 22 2016) still freezes when MIDI faders are moved fast and/or repeatedly and/or together.
I attach the sample show I've been testing with.
It's not enough to just do some slow fader movements. Faders have to be moved quickly up and down before Daslight stops responding.

Can anyone reproduce this issue ?
Other clues ? Ideas ?

It's a very annoying problem because the it's unpredicable. Daslight has to be manually canceled and run again.

Devs, what your are doing currently? In the newslatter I saw that the December Version ist a new Release Version. Why? There are still big bugs. The issue PolDravil described wasnt there in earlier versions, so you added something that broke it, please find it. The same problem was in DVC 3 and I thinks its currently not fixed.... Otherwise I cant use Daslight anymore on shows, its too risky.

Hey LJMark,

We are still trying to figure out what is going wrong with this feature. It seems it only appears on some computers, but never shows up on ours. We'll let you guys know as soon as we have a fix.

You dont need to restart the PC I think. You need to plug out the Midi Board, than you can kill the process (worked for me)
And because of your name, here is it in german:
Für mich reicht es das Midi Pult abzuziehen, dann kann ich Daslight über den Taskmanager ganz einfach killen.
