Daslight Forum

Hi,

First post and a bit of a newbie question that googling and scooting around the website doesn't answer.

I would like to use daslight for pub and club install with the concept they can use a button panel for simple nights and a lj f bringing in a their laptop for more full-on nights. To this end, when running without a pc, can any of the standalone controller do sound to light?

I am really looking forward to working with daslight but this is a bit of a must-have for us.

You must have a computer running to do sound to light. Alternatively, you could use any built in sound to light effects which may come with the lighting fixtures.

Though its a pity it can't do it, your idea I think is a go-er.

The next question will be whether to use a seperate button panel for resistance against spills (you have to love DJ's), are there any reccomended "robust" panels? (guess why we can't always use pc's )

I have installed one of these and they work well.

..or EasyRemote with an iPad inside a wallmounted casing... could be a little more expensive than a touchscreen though.

Simply, stand alone operation entails the fixtures working entirely independent of any sort of controller.
