Is there any way to create light show templates because the venue (a school) i do ocassional work in uses the same rig with the same address's everytime . the problem is the teachers get confussed whith what they are adding to the show etc so if i could create a template with all the fixtures in so all they needed to do was program it would be a great help.

Bit of a necro-post, but may be beneficial to others who are searching/reading.

There is not a template feature like you would find in Microsoft office packages, but you can create show file with all the fixtures patched and addressed correctly and have no scenes or effects applied. Then you can save this show file as a master file and keep a copy safe and let the staff use a copy each time to create effects etc.
