DVC4 Gold mini USB fragile connector

Post by Gregory_D »

Just a quick note, if not already in the pipe for the next interface hardware...

Please, mini USB is very fragile, too fragile, i already had to replace the mini USB to USB cable twice, hoping that it is not the connector on interface side that begins to deteriorate.
Please, put real normal USB connector and not mini USB. It's too fragile.

(not sure there is an easy way to replace the mini USB connector on interface if it is damaged...). I don't want to buy a new interface each time just because the connector will be out of working.

Thanks.

Hey,

Duely noted. Thanks for reporting this, I'll pass this on to the right people. Note that we have thought to add type-C connectors to our new models, instead of mini-USB. Hope this fits ours customers needs better.

Regards,
TomHat

I would also add some sort of cable retainer into the case moulding to stop it falling out!

I wouldn't go to the c-port, as it is also to fragile, do computer repairs for living and have had to replace c-ports to many time to count, I to would suggest going to the normal USB, or to please more people, parallel mini USB, c-port and normal USB and let user decide witch to use, or as back up connections
