I'm not sure I understand the question well. You want to make a stand alone scene with your lights in a specific place?

If the light beam open button is not working, this means that the default preset has not been set correctly within the fixture profile.

-open the profile in the scan library editor
-click the shutter channel
-click 'default preset' in the shutter open command

I'd recommend getting hold of a mini WiFi router like this one:

It seems that with the introduction of MIDI device names within the selection window, a crash is occurring with certain device names when they are selected. This bug will be corrected in a new beta which will be available next week.

I'm locking this thread as the original issue has now been corrected and the thread has become off topic.

I don't have an AKAI myself but it may need to be set to a specific general MIDI mode. Check 'input->select midi ports' to be sure that the port is enabled.

This will be corrected int he next version due for release this week or next week

I have a Maschine I use for music production but not for Daslight as it doesn't have any faders. If you have a lot of scenes to trigger, it can be nice, especially with the 8 groups. Daslight also support MIDI feedback now, so you can see the state of each scene.

For example,imagine you have a moving head. The button will:
1- recall the 'open shutter' preset
2- set the dimmer to 100%
3- open the iris

It seems that this feature isn't working anymore. When enabled it should allow MIDI and DMX control of only the selected fixtures instead of all the fixtures in the group. We'll check this out in the next update.

There must always be a scene running in stand alone mode. Therefore you will need to make another trigger to activate an empty scene. This will require some extra circuit design to be able to toggle between the desired scene + the off scene with the same button.

I agree that this can be time consuming and in a future update we plan to make some automatic layout for Easy Remote.

In the latest version of 11th I'm able to add scenes with the same name as long as the group is different. I don't see any error message

This is not possible. You can only have 1 command per channel
