Purelight Lasers
I use a Purelight PL182 tri-beam laser in my shows. m It is ... weird. Kind of pretty, but bizarrely hard to control. At least with Daslight anyway. The problems I'm having is that it isn't simply a matter of setting the sliders to the right values. The order of setting them seems critical, too. And...

What do you mean by symmetry ? I mean that if you have 8 fixtures you can say move the left 4 anticlockwise and the right 4 can either follow or mirror them. At the moment the only way to do this is select the left 4, generate a CW sequence and save the FX. Then select the right 4, load the FX, sli...

Update
I have pinged Daslight on their website email alerting them to this thread (and reminding them that us customers who have paid good money for their product expect to see at the very least acknowledgement of issues). They have said that they knew of the thread and are on the case. Again, a bit of ack...

The jump problem exists in the previous release too. Replication: 1. Create a group 2. Add 3 scenes S1, S2 and S3, all with 001 repeats. 3. Set S1 to jump to S2, S2 to S3 and S3 to S1. 4. Go to live mode, play S1. The exact results vary from play to play. Scenes that should play actually cancel. Oth...

FX Generator question
When I select (say) a circle, the lights always rotate counter-clockwise. How do I get them to go clockwise?

I don't mean to be rude, so please don't take this the wrong way. But you will get a better response if you post in English. Daslight is written by French developers, after all. Expecting them to be fluent in German is a little optimistic! ( Not that they seem to respond to anything very much these ...

VisualDMX is pricy! I had a pop at using it (demo download) and I found it unintelligible . It seems to be a flashier version of Freestyler, and the cost seems hard to justify. The 3D previewer was also fiddly to get running (IP addresses?!) and crashed on me. I like Daslight because of the modality...

I have noticed some similar oddities in the last couple of releases. However, as you can see, customer support is not Daslight's strong point. In the previous incarnation of this forum, it became over-run with p0rn spam, and the admins did nothing about it. However when I needed some support, I foun...

Re: More features that will knock the software into shape
1). I have created a button that does just that. It sets all channels to zero and has a "General Release", so it acts as a "Master Blackout/Off" Ah but I meant in editor mode, where a number of scenes are left playing and you have to click on each one individually and press the ...
