ok... as a long time member of a large I.T. team... I can tell you for sure.... any file I send you will not freaking help my situation..... its the program itself, NOT any file I would have.... I did not save anything as I could not set any faders properly without them changing themselves when the...

Using any MIDI controller you can only control what Daslight allows you to control ... i.e. what you can attach a MIDI command/note/control to. Yes you can control scene launching and the speed of the scene. You can control fader(s) via MIDI by right clicking on the "Auto" button. I cannot...

The only thing you can do is rotate around the Y until it matches the direction your "real" fixture points. The only thing is that the fixture in the visualiser might not be rotated to how your "real" fixture is. You want a perfect match then fork out thousands of pounds for Cast...

use it with the visualiser, start with something simple and then work out how the scene work system works. Transparent scenes. static scenes. groups, all become clear when you start programing. Yep that is the way to do it. As Richard says - Do not try to much to start with. Patch like 32 par cans....

Re: Daslight Support Please

Dear all, I am new to this whole daslight thing so please bear with me. I was always intrigued by the light show of certain concerts and while wondering on the net, I stumbled upon Daslight. I download it and been playing around with it for 2 days now. I've watched the tutorials online and read som...

The BPM on fade is dodgy.
Personally I think the S2L routines are a bit suspect and lacking.
I have got scenes that used to work, nothing changed and now they don't. Work on BPM on Step though ???????
I have duplicate scenes (just a different name) that do work, go figure.
A maximum-sized packet, which has 512 channels (slots following the start code), takes approximately 23 ms to send, corresponding to a maximum refresh rate of about 44 Hz. For higher refresh rates, packets having fewer than 512 channels can be sent.
So 25 Hz would b...

With interface plugged in start DVC2 and then goto the Tools>Interface menu, this will display your serial number.

Mine also has a sticker with the serial number on the circuit board, visible from underneath the interface.

No problem using CAT5 cables done all the time with Art-Net and DMX Over Ethernet. Daslight did do an interface that used DMX Over Ethernet for a very short while but discontinued it. Sunlite still do. So it should be no problems using a convertor, you must ensure that absolutely nothing else is usi...
