The software will run without an interface and it will display the following. http://www.justfloyd.co.uk/otherstuff/daslight/3dvisualiserdemo.png So if it is not running without the interface I would suggest backing up any work you have done then un-install the program, delete the install folder and...

The points do not correspond to the steps in any way (as you have clearly gathered). The points allow you to draw your shape. The relevent number of steps are created to accurately re-produce the shape. This is the way it has always been with every piece of our software for the past 10 years and no...

Colouring of all scenes within a group, and dragging and dropping groups like scenes to re-arrange are both in the pipeline

That's good news :)

Re: dvc2 eco

Right my problem with the midi is that i am trying to synchronise my soundtrack with my developing light show for a solo live performer. I am using a mp3 backing track as the sound source from live mode right click scene button/properties/multimedia/file.....etc. I have created a 5m:48s scene with ...

Why don't the developers use a changelog like most other software packages out there? It would make things much easier for people wanting to see what's new... New features, bug fixes, etc? Problem is, if it wasn't used from the beginning it may be a losing proposition trying to change now... And on...

If you don't adjust the points you can add as many points as you wish and it will always be 10 steps because the same shape is being drawn. As soon as you move one of the points the number of steps will increase. Missing the point Simon. Pick a circle, set the number of points to whatever and you w...

You can arrange groups in Live but only per fixture type. Select the moving icon then drag the fixtures. Wrong sort of "Group" I am afraid Simon. Arrangement of "Scene" "Groups" has been something most people have asked for and colouring of those groups and scenes with...

The ability to merge scenes is a function which is definitly needed is on the DVC3 todo list. Drawing a circle requires more than 4 steps. otherwise it would be a dimond. I know a circle would take more than 4 steps, but do it, set it to 4 and see how many steps you get !?!?! That is what I am talk...

No, unless you hand code it. Sorry, What do you mean by hand code it? How can I do it? Basically create the scene by hand, moving the sliders or choosing the icons for the fixture values you want on each step. You use the FX generator to create your two scenes. Now in one scene you edit it and for ...

No, unless you hand code it. Have them as different scenes, you can start more than 1 scene at a time, put a short cut key on them and start them both at sametime. You can also put them in the same group and start the group. Various ways of doing what you want but not exactly as you want. Always bes...

Why not, Sunlite has a beginner mode, and an advanced user mode. don't think either of them use the term "idiot" though. but I think you need an idiot mode with Sunlite, perhaps that is why I can't work it out. Doh! I must be an idiot as well then I can use many other pieces of software/h...

Remove HTP and LTP?!? Are you crazy! sorry but it has to be said! HTP/LTP are part of the basics behind DMX, if people dont understand that much then they should return to the book.... dont make experienced users have to compromise because of the school kids... BTW, please dont suggest i switch to ...

Yep, LIVE, right click scene, select link etc.
No I do not enter values manually, it does it automatically when I use the control on the MIDI controller.

I just select the item in DVC2 that I want to control via MIDI then use the MIDI controller and it detects it and puts in the correct values. I do not do it via the editor screen I bind on the LIVE screen. I am using a Behringer BCF2000, but does the same for other MIDI controllers. I would ensure t...
