Re: Workarounds Virtual Dimmers + FX Engine + Colors

If you want a cheap much more flexible solution go and get this artnet node and pair it with Chamsys MagicQ. You get way more functionality there than with daslight and is much cheaper too than daslight as well in the long run. V-Show 8 port Artnet DMX Controller - 3 PIN DMX Splitter XLR Input and o...

Re: Workarounds Virtual Dimmers + FX Engine + Colors

Yeah FranzH, I can only comment on issue #2 & 3 here. Sadly there is no way to easily make any symmetrical effects in DVC4, even when using the grid or sine wave generator. Every time you stack an effect with the direction going opposite the dots representing the beams will always bee off time n...

Re: Midi Fader Patch to Multiple Scene Speeds

So to be clear it is possible to assign 1 midi fader per live group to control their scene speeds? Thanks!

Midi Fader Patch to Multiple Scene Speeds

Not sure if this is possible but can I midi patch different scene speed functions from different effects on the same group to ONE fader as I cycle between effects?

DVC3 Interfaces compatible with Daslight 4?

silly question but are the DVC3 interfaces compatible with Daslight 4? There's no compatibility list anywhere on site, and saw on another post that the DVC2 interface was. Thanks.

Re: Feature Request: Midi Mapping in Show Mode

Thanks for the response, and I understand how much R&D would be needed to code this feature. So I'll just stick to using my tablet over wifi for this purpose in my shows.

Respectfully,

Feature Request: Midi Mapping in Show Mode

Would it be possible to have midi mapping for show mode controls just like live mode does? This would allow for the use of hardware faders and buttons to make sweet shows. Thanks.

Dimmer Effects On Top Of Color Scenes

Does anyone know how to properly apply a global dimmer effect on top of scenes that tell the fixtures what color to be? I'm trying to do it in such a way without having to apply the dimmer effect onto each scene individually, so that I can on the fly change colors while the dimmer effect is running ...

3D viewer fixture import from showfile broken

Hello,
I am having an issue where none of the fixures that exist in my showfile are being read by the 3D viewer (current beta windows 10). Here is the attached showfile. Hope this issue is fixed real soon as I need to prepare for a large convention in 2 months. Thanks!

Level Meter Effect Crashes Everytime

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else has the issue where simply selecting the level meter effect crashes DVC4. I had worked in the betas before the official release and is still broken in the current beta. Thanks!

Chauvet Colorband Pix-M Programming

Hello everyone, I'm trying to find out what channel mode will enable the pixel mapping feature of the Pix-M because it only shows up as 1 pixel in the fixture viewer. This it seems will only allow the whole fixture to set to 1 color at a time when I want to set chase scenes and strobe effects. If an...

Re: 3D viewer crashes when loading a lot of fixtures in

I am on PC, this problem has occurred across all the PCs I have when checking to see if it was that my Intel HD 4600 graphics on my laptop were underpowered for it, which wasn't the case since the viewer failed even with my desktop and a GTX 780
Thanks!

Large Shows Work Well in Current DVC 4?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone is running large shows with little to no problems: i.e...DMX level interferences, dimmer problems across multiple groups of fixtures, step on BPM and/or pulse work well for long durations of time. I need to know of any major issues since I will be using DVC4...

3D viewer crashes when loading a lot of fixtures in

Hello everyone, I am having a major issue where the 3D viewer crashes when loading it up after loading up my show file. This happens on all my machines I own. The total lighting setup contains around 40 fixtures in 1U. This happens both on the Official release and the current beta. I'll attach the s...
