Older software uses OLD drivers only. It will not work with latest new drivers.

As Andre said - the DVC2 gold controller stores 8 of it's lightshows(scenes really) internally and these can be triggered from the buttons on the top of the interface or from 8 remote buttons via the HE10 port. You can also drive the controller directly via the DMX input port with another DMX desk (...

Can you not use the DVC2 Gold interface? It will operate 8 different shows stand-alone without a computer connection - useful if the PC crashes.

Yes, there are only the 2 removable processors on the PCB, they are both the same. Simply swap them over if the output one goes down.

Also if the DMX output chip goes down - remember to get you out of trouble you can swap the onboard DMX (out) chip for the one on the DMX (in) side of the controller. They are on removable sockets but make sure you get them inserted the correct way around.
Check for the notch or dot on the end.

Thanks for comments Andre.

I intend to do one showing how to run the BPM analyser to make it sound trigger - when I get the time.

The last video about creating a new fixture took all day to produce & get it right and easily understandable.

Midi control

You need a simple cheap USB MIDI dongle plugged into your laptop. Run the MIDI dongle software and use it to then tell the Daslight software which scene to turn on & off. Run the Daslight DVC2 interface in Live mode - this is the only way for the interface to know what to do. You are effectively...

Starting address

Hi As Andre said, simply interrogate the lighting fixtures by pushing the sliders up on the software one at a time. Write down what they do to the lighting fixture. When you eventually push one up that has no effect you will know how many channels it requires to operate. Normally the next fixture wi...

DVC2 Sound to Light - workaround - this works ok

It works ok - try it out. You have to run the interface PC connected and use LIVE mode. Then it is a process of several simple bits. IT ONLY OPERATES WITH BPM ANALYSIS SCREEN OPEN. In LIVE screen right click on the scene that you want to trigger sound to light and select BPM to STEP. This will make ...

Another option, will Virtual PC run on Vista 64? you can then install any other operating system inside the safety of the Virtual PC program & put DVC2 in there to run it & maybe the driver will be recognised.

Not sure though.

Vista

Everyone has problems with Vista 64bit not as many manufactureres are supporting it software-wise.

Can you not create a dualboot system and put XP or normal Vista in the other drive partition. This will give you the option of running anything that 64bit Vista messes up.
